02 | Filming Weddings
in Greece

arChive Visual Storytellers create wedding films throughout Greece, from the Cyclades, Ionian Islands and Dodecanese to the Athens Riviera, Mani, the Peloponnese and mainland destinations. Based in Athens, we produce featurettes and full wedding films for single and multi-day celebrations.

Greece offers a rare combination of light, landscape, and pace. From the islands to the mainland, each location shapes both the wedding experience and the way it is filmed. A ceremony in a sea-facing Cycladic chapel imposes a different pace from a cathedral wedding in Corfu or a reception in the stone landscape of Mani.

Stone, colour, wind, distance, heat, the quality of afternoon light in August. These are not background details. They shape each film.

Selected Wedding films

Limeni, Mani

Dry stone. Tower houses. Byzantine chapels.
A landscape that shifts perception.

Corfu

A wedding across cultures.
Greek, Cuban, Catholic.
The film moves between them.

Symi Dodecanese

A summer afternoon.
White terraces. Open Aegean light.
Held in stillness.

03 | OUR approach

Greece requires both preparation and experience. The light changes quickly, the heat is real, and some of the strongest moments happen in the margins: between the ceremony and the reception, in the half hour before sunset, or when attention briefly moves away from the formal schedule.

We know this landscape, how it behaves across different hours, seasons, islands and regions. Locations are selected in advance rather than discovered on arrival, and timing is planned around the light without placing unnecessary demands on the couple. People searching for a wedding videographer in Greece may be looking for anything from simple event coverage to a fully directed film production. Our work belongs to the latter.

That direction begins long before the first frame. Producing a wedding film in Greece requires practical knowledge of ferry and flight schedules, transfers between locations, restricted access, summer heat and the wind around exposed coastal venues. We usually arrive one day early, reducing the risk that disrupted ferry services or difficult weather conditions affect our presence when the celebrations begin.
For multi-day weddings, every event is planned as part of one connected production. Welcome gatherings, ceremonies, boat days and day-after sessions are not treated as separate additions, but as material that can shape the final film as a whole.

When additional filming locations are required, we scout and select them according to the character of the wedding and the visual direction of the film. We also organise the necessary transport, so couples do not need to search, coordinate or manage unnecessary movement themselves. When they arrive, everything is prepared.

This knowledge where to be, when to be there, and which locations will respond best to the light has been earned over time in the specific conditions of Greece. It shapes the work before a single frame is recorded. In the finished film, that preparation should remain invisible. That is precisely the point.

04 | what we produce

Every wedding story has two core productions, a short featurette and a longer documentary film.
Their duration is determined by the structure and substance of the wedding rather than a fixed running time. We do not record the entire day continuously, except where continuity is necessary during key parts of the ceremony.
From there, the scope is shaped around the wedding itself. Some weddings call for nothing more. Others span multiple days, locations, and events such as pre-wedding parties, day-after sessions, or cruises.
For larger productions, we collaborate with extended crews, certified drone pilots, and use multi-camera setups. Where possible, aerial coverage is integrated into the film’s visual language.
We work with each couple to create more than just images, incorporating personal narrations, written or spoken, revealed for the first time in the final presentation.
This personal exchange becomes part of the film. A layer that remains entirely their own.
Each film production is tailored to the unique style and character of the wedding.

arChive Visual Storytellers create wedding films in Greece for celebrations across the Greek islands, the Athens Riviera, the Cyclades, the Ionian Islands, the Dodecanese, Crete, Mani, the Peloponnese and mainland Greece. Based in Athens, the studio films weddings throughout Greece and internationally.

Each wedding film is shaped by the couple, the location and the rhythm of the celebration. The work may include a full wedding film, a featurette, multi-day coverage, welcome events, pre-wedding gatherings, day-after portraits, boat days, private cruises, aerial footage, personal narration and a carefully edited final presentation.

The studio’s approach to wedding film in Greece is built on preparation, discretion and visual direction. Locations and timings are considered in advance, so the filming can respond to the light, the movement of the day and the atmosphere of the wedding without unnecessary friction.

06 | FAQ

Do you film weddings throughout Greece?
Yes. We produce wedding films in the Greek islands, Athens Riviera, Peloponnese, Crete and mainland destinations.
Do you offer both photography and film?
Yes. Photography and film are produced by the same studio, with one vision and direction. This matters particularly on a destination wedding where place, movement, sound, people, and atmosphere all shape the final result. One team, one body of work.
What films do you deliver?
Every event delivery begins with two principal films: a short featurette and a longer documentary film, neither restricted to a predetermined duration. This is the starting point rather than a fixed package. As each commission is bespoke, the structure, coverage and final deliverables are adapted to the particular needs of the wedding.
Do you cover multi-day weddings?
Yes. Welcome events, boat days, day-after sessions and other related events.
Do you provide drone footage?
Yes. Our pilots are fully trained, licensed and insured for professional drone operations. Aerial filming is incorporated where it serves the film, subject only to airspace restrictions and weather conditions.
How far in advance should we enquire?
We accept bookings up to one year in advance. As we take on a limited number of weddings each year and many commissions extend across several days, early booking is important, particularly for peak-season celebrations and island destinations.
Is there a written agreement?
Yes. Once the work has been agreed, a written service agreement is signed by both parties.
The agreement sets out what has been planned, what is included, the timing of the work, and the terms around privacy and image use.
Nothing is left to memory or assumption. It is a working document that protects both you and the studio equally.
