Wedding photography Milos
As wedding photographers we travel around every corner of Greece for weddings and editorials. Each place, each Greek island, has a special vibe, ranging from relaxed and secluded like Amorgos, Astypalaia, Folegandros to cosmopolitan like Sifnos, Hydra, Poros, Spetses and of course stylish Mykonos and Santorini.
The sea and sun sooths your soul no matter where you are in the Aegean but some islands carry a special aura. One of these is Milos. We have been there on several occasions documenting weddings having day after sessions.
Milos - The Island of Lovers
Beautiful Milos is also known as “The Island of Lovers” because it is the discovery site of the famous statue Venus de Milo, the ancient Greek Goddess of Love and Beauty. It is the island of colors. A favorite destination, and eventually an addiction. An undiscovered island, with perhaps the most interesting coastline of any other island this size in the world. Volcanic
and famous for mainly because of its spectacular, colorful rock formations. You never fail to discover yet another beauty to fall in love with. It is by far one of our top best.
One visit is never enough! it makes us jump at every opportunity to visit. This time we went for a day- after photo session with one of our couples. That mission accomplished and utterly fulfilled, we naturally let go. And we got carried away! It was all about a merry old man we met at the port, who looked like the ultimate figure of a captain you would like to sail with, to seas unsailed, to stories and mysteries untold.
We bought, and we sailed. Around Milos and Kimolos, but also Poliaigos, whose blue sea is like no other we have seen. Our Captain never appeared – to our disappointment. Will make sure to catch up on him next time around.
We surrendered to the summer light, the smell of a breeze, the sound of the sea, and those amazing colors. Scouting in paradise for our next couple, we had our eyes looking around us like it was the first time we felt surrounded by such perfection.
