We live in a fairy tale with alternate endings. No safety net is there to prevent us from slipping, no caution signs to guide our steps. Conflicting images appear to us harmonious and opposites are blended to form bland. Love and passion interfere with success and other such necessities, but, as if by miracle and through thousands of contradictions, finds its way no matter what. Yearning for the meaningful, it is transformed to harmony.
Life is moving pictures and each time we blink our eyes the world shifts beneath our feet, And we shift along in an endless dance. To a music that elevates the spirit, to a place of transcending beauty. This determines the nature of our photographs.
Moments, memories and dreams…
We go back a little over one year, when we met this amazing family. It was for Eleni and Tom’s wedding. This time its was for her beautiful younger sister Vas, getting married to Seb at Island Gallery. It was an honour and a priviledge to be trusted and chosen as their wedding photographers, their storytellers.
So different from Eleni yet so similar in the essence, Vas is a beautiful combination of shy and sensitive, yet sharp, intense and very passionate.
Seb, is a gentleman. Any other description would intimidate this title. But he is much more. Courtesy is as much a mark of a gentleman as courage :-) And what a challenge it must be to be a member of this very special family. To dance zeibekiko with the pros!
What does it take to dance zeibekiko ? This amazingly difficult dance, mainly because it has no steps and no particular rhythm. What it calls for is inner intensity, as it is an improvised dance that expresses feelings.
Originally strictly a man’s dance. Not embarrassed to manifest pain or weaknesses, the real man ignores social conventions and shallow condescension. He will pick the lyric that expresses his personal state of mind and he will dance it out, Humbly and with dignity. He will dance only this once, he will not monopolize the floor, or be interrupted.
After Tom who will now boast as “palios”, Seb proved his worth :-)
Only pending issue …coming shortly… is his ability to join our Zacapa tradition.

Beautiful Nafplio,sophisticated and fine, unwinding through twisting labyrinthine alleys. A gentle pine-scented breeze was blowing and the view from the seafront with its island castle Bourtzi decorating the mountains behind it, looked like the nicest place we could spend dreaming. And we love dreams, as we love stories.
While going through our usual and very addictive scouting procedure. we spend hours getting lost around this place. In an amazing walk around, the seafront swings us through a rocky arch into a stunning view of the 18th century fortress of Palamidi, 999 rock carved steps above us, to watch the sun go down behind the mountains, colouring the sea crimson red. Click. We locked this location. It will forever inspire our dreams, our stories. And theirs.
– When did you first fall in love?
“I think, I first fell in love when I was in fifth grade with this boy who kept his glass ruler in the sunlight and made rainbows on my desk with it.”
Elmina & Giorgos. A beautiful childhood love story. How many times did you forget your first love? We are sure the answer is a unanimous-never. That is what childhood love is all about. It is that first wave of love and affection that stays with you for a lifetime. Its that first stab of love that resembles a sunset, a blaze of color that turns the world upside down.
And then there is Amsterdam. We first met them in Amsterdam. Knowing very little about them, And there was this something we are so keen on discovering, each time. Small , tiny bits, about the people we meet. Small things that grow. In our hearts and become a part of us. And there was respect, as there was trust. And there was passion to connect and to share. The inevitably necessary “evil” that we initially represented, was gradually transformed to an ultimate point of reference …from this day on. And we were privileged and honoured to be their wedding photographers.
The empty canvas was now becoming our playground once again.

Life is moving pictures and each time we blink our eyes the world shifts beneath our feet, And we shift along in an endless dance. To a music that elevates the spirit, to a place of transcending beauty. This determines the nature of our photographs.
Moments, memories and dreams
It was one of the rarest times when we were first approached by the parents of the bride. As we are very personal about our connection with the couple, we were slightly taken aback. But life is about proving you wrong, Liza and Dimitris were the most adorable people we have ever met. They organized Tom and Eleni’s wedding with the ultimate care, elegance, and a discretion rarely found on similar occasions.
Like a chip of the old block, these were characteristics that we immediately spotted on Eleni. We were instantly taken aback by her frankness, and the affectionate politeness directed through her eyes, to every word she carefully chose to utter.
The rare qualities in a blend of an untamed tomboy, a raving teenager, a rock drummer, a fine pianist, and the stunning elegant lady. What a perfect match.
Tom is a restless guy, eager to get all the latest answers. Also a natural model. Voted best groom model of the year and the most talented syrtaki group dancer we ever came across.Tom and Eleni alerted our interest to discover more about them. An interest that almost instantly became a comfortable intimacy and the need to connect. Our images are about connection, empathy and words that bring people together. They are also about the intention to care. Art is born from intention.
Their enthusiasm was contagious, and they had a way to compliment us for every effort made. There is no greater reward for us as wedding photographers, to have fulfilled their trust, and we simply cannot wait to have them here with us again for their presentation.
If we can work this story backwards we can very honestly declare that we are very very lucky to have met this family , all members included, and privileged to have been their Storytellers.
